Chapter 14 - The Bitter SignatureTears of rage and humiliation streamed down Victoria’s face as she gripped the heavy gold pen. Her hand trembled violently above the signature line. She looked at Julian, hoping to find a single shred of mercy in his eyes, but she found only an impenetrable wall of cold steel.

"You ruined my life," she hissed through clenched teeth.

"You ruined your own," Julian responded coldly.

With a jagged, forced stroke, Victoria signed her name across the final page of the custody transfer documents. She threw the pen across the room, grabbed her designer purse, and stormed out of the boardroom, her heels clicking frantically against the marble floor—a hollow echo of her lost power.

Arthur Vance slouched in his leather chair, looking suddenly old and frail. "Take the girl, Julian. Keep her safe from... from all of this. My legal team will process the non-disclosure agreements."

Julian gathered the signed papers and slid them back into his leather briefcase—the same briefcase he had dropped on that fateful night.

"She will be safe, Arthur," Julian said softly. "I will make sure of it."

As Julian walked out of Vance Tower, the heavy cloud of anxiety that had burdened his chest for months finally began to lift. He had won the legal battle, but he knew the hardest work was still ahead: healing the deep emotional scars inside his young daughter's heart.
