Chapter 10 - CounterstrikeThe news broke at noon. Just as Evelyn had predicted, major tabloid outlets ran headlines featuring Victoria Sterling sobbing outside her lawyer's office, claiming her wealthy husband had violently snatched their four-year-old daughter in the middle of the night following a mental breakdown.

Sitting in his makeshift office in Montauk, Julian watched the television broadcast with a cold smile.

"She jumped right into the trap," Julian muttered.

Marcus walked into the room, holding a secure laptop. "We have access to the security server at the main house. Victoria tried to delete the hallway footage from last night, but our IT team had already mirrored the cloud backup at midnight."

"Do we have the footage clear?" Julian asked.

"Crystal clear," Marcus replied, turning the screen toward Julian.

On the screen, the high-definition camera footage played in brutal clarity: Victoria standing cold and indifferent while tiny Lily crawled on the floor, forced to eat from the dog bowl. The timestamps matched Julian's arrival perfectly, debunking every single lie Victoria had just told to the press.

"Don't release it to the news yet," Julian ordered. "We hold it. Send a copy directly to her father, Arthur Vance. Let the old man see what his precious daughter really is before we file the official criminal charges."

"And if Arthur tries to cover it up?" Marcus asked.

"Then I'll destroy his empire along with hers," Julian replied without hesitation.
