Chapter 2 - The Arrival of JusticeThe figure stepping out of the night fog was Victoria Vance, Victor’s estranged older sister and the former head of the family’s global security syndicate. Her eyes swept across the horrifying scene in a fraction of a second—her sister-in-law lying motionless on the floor, little Mia cowering in terror, and Victor standing over them with a cold smirk still lingering on his face.

Mia scrambled away from her mother’s side and sprinted toward Victoria, burying her face in Victoria's tailored trench coat. Victoria wrapped a protective arm around the little girl, glaring daggers at her brother.
