Chapter 3 - The Tarmac ShowdownBefore Victor’s fingers could wrap around the grip of his weapon, the lead federal marshal moved with lightning speed, tackling Victor hard against the marble pillar. The silver cane clattered away, spinning across the floor as steel handcuffs snapped tightly around Victor’s wrists.

"Victor Vance, you are under arrest for the murder of Elena Vance and financial fraud against the Vance estate," the marshal barked, hauling him to his feet.

"You have no proof! The board will tear you apart!" Victor screamed, thrashing wildly as they dragged him toward the open double doors, out into the flashing red and blue lights of the arriving police cruisers.

Victoria didn't even look back at him. She knelt down, gently lifting Mia into her arms. "You're safe now, sweet girl. It's over."

"He said I wouldn't get away..." Mia cried softly, burying her face in Victoria's shoulder.

"Nobody gets away with hurting our family," Victoria promised, her voice fierce and unwavering.

Over the next forty-eight hours, the full scope of Victor’s crimes came to light. The federal investigation uncovered a web of forged corporate documents, offshore shell companies, and deliberate sabotage aimed at usurping control of Vance Enterprises. Victor’s meticulously crafted illusion of power crumbled entirely under the weight of concrete evidence and eyewitness testimony from the courageous little girl who had refused to stay silent.
