Chapter 3 - The Hidden CameraBefore Elena could turn toward the exit, the sound of clapping echoed from the doorway. Stepping out of the shadow of the pantry hall was Mrs. Gable, the elderly longtime housekeeper, holding a small tablet in her hands.

"You don't have to run, Ms. Elena," Mrs. Gable said smoothly, her voice filled with quiet authority. "Because the security system in this kitchen doesn't just record movement—it records audio, too."

Elena froze, her face instantly turning pale as chalk. "What... what are you talking about?"

Mrs. Gable tapped the screen of the tablet, and a crystal-clear video began to play. The audio filled the silent kitchen: Elena's voice, sharp and venomous, forcing Sarah to drink the glass of milk laced with sedatives, followed by the physical struggle that led to Sarah hitting her head against the marble counter.

David watched the screen, the blood draining entirely from his face. The shock quickly morphed into a terrifying, cold fury. He looked at Elena not with anger, but with absolute disgust.

"You tried to poison her," David whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief. "You tried to get rid of Sarah so you could take over my home and my estate."

Elena lunged forward toward the tablet, shrieking, "Delete that! It's a fake!" But David caught her wrist with an iron grip, shoving her back.

"Get out of my house," David roared, pointing toward the front entrance. "And don't ever let me see your face again, or I swear I will ensure you spend the rest of your life behind bars."

Realizing she had lost completely, Elena glared with pure hatred, spun around, and stormed out of the penthouse.
