Chapter 4 - The Secret Heir EmergesAs Victoria fled the ballroom in absolute disgrace, pushing past the crowd amid a chorus of jeers and camera flashes, the tension in the room remained thick. Richard collapsed back into his chair, covering his face with his hands, overwhelmed by the public humiliation.

"Mr. Vance," a quiet, steady voice broke through the murmurs.

Richard looked up to see a modest, unassuming woman standing near the entrance—someone the catering staff had brought in earlier, holding a small gift box. It was Elena, a loyal former nanny who had been wrongfully dismissed by Victoria months ago under false pretenses.

"What do you want, Elena?" Richard asked bitterly, assuming it was another scheme.

"I didn't come to gloat, Mr. Vance," Elena said softly, stepping closer. "I came because the truth deserves to come out fully. Victoria lied about more than just a pillow. She lied about the heir you actually have."

Richard's breath hitched. "What are you talking about?"

Elena reached into her bag and pulled out a sealed legal envelope, placing it gently on the table. "Before Victoria manipulated her way into your mansion, you were married to Sarah—a good woman you divorced under manipulated circumstances. Victoria intercepted the medical records. You do have a child, Mr. Vance. A son. Born healthy, raised quietly away from this toxic world because Victoria threatened Sarah's life if she ever approached you."

The room went dead silent once more. Richard stared at the envelope, his hands shaking as he broke the seal. Inside were DNA test results and birth certificates stamped and verified by top medical institutions. The dates aligned perfectly. He had a flesh-and-blood son.
