Chapter 6 - Rebuilding the Bridge"Leo," Sarah whispered, pulling her son back slightly while keeping her gaze locked on Richard. "Go inside for a second, sweetheart. Mommy needs to talk to this man."

Leo looked confused but obeyed, running off toward the living room.

Richard looked at Sarah, every defense mechanism he had built up over years of corporate isolation completely crumbling. "I don't expect you to forgive me overnight, Sarah. I was blind, arrogant, and easily manipulated. But Elena brought me the truth about our son. And more importantly, she brought me back to my senses."

"Do you have any idea what kind of fear I lived in?" Sarah asked, her voice trembling with emotion. "Victoria made sure I was isolated, threatened, and broke. I had to raise our son alone, whispering stories about a father who didn't know we existed because he was surrounded by vipers."

"I am so sorry," Richard whispered, taking a step forward, falling to his knees right there on the porch in front of her. It was a gesture of total surrender, stripped of all pride and wealth. "Take everything I own. Sue me, ruin me, do whatever you need to heal. But please... give me a chance to be a father to my son, and a chance to spend the rest of my life making it up to you."

Sarah looked down at the billionaire CEO kneeling in the rain on her modest porch. She saw no arrogance left in his eyes—only profound regret, absolute sincerity, and a love that had survived years of deception. Slowly, the anger melted away, replaced by the warmth of grace.

She reached down, taking his hands in hers. "Get up, Richard. You'll catch a cold. Let's talk inside."
