Later that night, after the last guests had departed and the grand ballroom grew quiet, Adrian
walked up the newly remodeled staircase. The moonlight streamed through the tall arched
windows, casting a soft, silvery glow across the polished marble. In the nursery down the hall,
the baby was sleeping peacefully in her crib, breathing softly. Adrian paused by the doorway,
looking back down the grand staircase where everything had almost ended, only to begin anew.
