Chapter 2 - The Father’s Blind Wrath

Adrian Vance rushed past the marble pillars, his face flushed with deep anger as he scooped up

the crying infant from the stroller. Towering over Elena, who was still struggling to stand from

her agonizing fall, Adrian’s voice trembled with righteous indignation. "What did you do? You

worthless, ungrateful piece of trash! I brought you into this home, and you try to harm my

child?" he roared, grabbing Elena by the shoulder and shoving her back against the hard stone.

Clara hovered close behind, crocodile tears streaming down her perfectly contoured face as she

whispered toxic fabrications into Adrian’s ear. "I saw her, Adrian! She tripped deliberately

because she was angry about her shift schedule! If I hadn't screamed, our baby would be dead!"

Elena’s protests were choked back by sheer shock; her voice was drowned out by the thunderous

condemnation of the man she had faithfully served for over a year. Handcuffs seemed imminent,
