Chapter 6 - A New Dawn at the EstateSix months later.

The summer sun shone brightly over the Moretti estate, washing away every trace of the violence that had transpired months prior. The damaged chapel had been completely restored, its stone walls now lined with vibrant white orchids and warm sunlight.

Julian Vance and Valentina were both serving life sentences in federal prison, their international syndicate completely dismantled thanks to the evidence Sophia had recovered and preserved.

In the grand garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a small, intimate gathering was taking place.

Sophia stood before a full-length mirror inside the master suite, wearing an elegant, flowing ivory lace gown. Her reflection no longer showed a timid, terrified housekeeper hiding in the shadows to protect her daughter. Her eyes were bright, filled with peace, strength, and happiness.

A soft knock sounded at the door, and Lily skipped into the room, wearing a delicate white sparkly dress with a tiny flower crown in her hair.

"Mommy! You look like a princess!" Lily giggled, running over to hug her mother's waist.

"And you look like a little angel," Sophia smiled, kneeling down to fix her daughter's dress. "Are you ready?"

"Mr. Lorenzo is waiting for us," Lily said proudly. "He said today I officially get a daddy!"

Sophia's heart swelled. Over the past six months, Lorenzo hadn't just protected them; he had rebuilt their lives. He had officially adopted Lily, legally securing her future, and had shown Sophia a level of respect, tenderness, and unwavering love she had never thought she would experience again.

When Sophia walked down the aisle toward the garden altar, Lorenzo was waiting for her. He wore a crisp, tailored black tuxedo, his dark eyes watching her with an intensity that made her breath catch. Gone was the stoic, distant billionaire; standing there was the man who had fought through fire and stone to keep her and her daughter safe.

As she reached his side, Lorenzo took her hands in his, his thumbs softly tracing her knuckles.

"You look breathtaking," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

"You don't look so bad yourself, Mr. Moretti," she whispered back with a playful smile.

The minister spoke the traditional words, but for Sophia and Lorenzo, the real vows had already been spoken months ago in the dark halls of the estate—vows forged in trust, bravery, and unconditional protection.

"I pronounce you husband and wife," the minister declared.

Lorenzo pulled Sophia close, wrapping his arms around her waist as he kissed her deeply, surrounded by the applause of their closest friends and family. When they parted, Lily ran up, grabbing both of their hands.

Lorenzo knelt down, picking Lily up in his arms while keeping one arm firmly around Sophia’s waist. Looking out over the vast, calm ocean, the three of them stood together—no longer master and servant, no longer running from shadows, but a complete, unbroken family.
