Chapter 10 - Interrogation and ExposureIn the soundproofed basement security holding room of the Moretti estate, a single overhead bulb illuminated the terrified face of the captured mercenary leader tied securely to a steel chair.

Luca stood directly in front of him, his coat removed, his shirtsleeves rolled up to reveal muscular forearms adorned with subtle tattoos. He didn't raise his voice, but every word carried the weight of an executioner.

"Who sent you?" Luca asked quietly.

The mercenary spat blood onto the concrete floor, sneering. "Go to hell. You can't touch me. We have rights—"

Luca calmly pulled out his phone, tapped the screen, and placed it on the steel table in front of the prisoner. The screen displayed a detailed financial ledger, wire transfer receipts, and a recorded phone conversation between Arthur Sterling and a known underworld broker.

The mercenary's bravado melted away instantly, replaced by sheer panic.

"Arthur Sterling," the man blurted out, trembling. "It was Arthur Sterling! He paid us fifty thousand dollars to snatch the kid and make it look like a professional hit!"

Luca nodded slowly, a cold, predatory smile touching his lips. "Thank you. That's all I needed to hear." He looked up at his head of security. "Send that audio recording directly to the financial crimes division, the major media outlets, and the board of directors at Sterling Enterprises. Let the world see what kind of man runs their precious company."
