Chapter 2 - The Black FleetThe earth seemed to tremble as two massive, matte-black armored Humvers roared through the wrought-iron gates of the Sterling mansion, their engines growling with an intimidating authority. The vehicles cut sharp turns, kicking up gravel and dust before coming to a synchronized, aggressive halt right at the edge of the courtyard.

Elena froze, the cane suspended mid-air. The guests gasped, spilling their champagne as panic rippled through the previously smug crowd. Marcus frowned, stepping forward to peer at the unexpected intrusion, a knot of unease tightening in his stomach.
The heavy doors of the Hummers swung open in unison. Out stepped heavily armed private security operatives in tactical gear, their faces hidden behind black helmets, moving with the precision and discipline of a military strike team. They formed a protective perimeter instantly, scanning every corner of the patio with cold, calculating eyes.
From the lead vehicle emerged a figure that commanded absolute attention. Victoria Vance. Dressed in a sharp, tailored black blazer, fitted black trousers, and knee-high leather boots that clicked sharply against the stone, she walked with an aura of untouchable power. Her long dark hair was tied back in a sleek ponytail, and her sunglasses hid eyes that burned with a chilling intensity. She was a woman who didn't just break glass ceilings; she demolished entire buildings.
Elena lowered her cane slowly, her jaw slackening as she stared at the approaching woman. Something about Victoria’s posture, her terrifyingly calm demeanor, and the sheer scale of her armed escort sent a tremor of dread down the older woman's spine.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Elena shouted, trying to mask her rising panic with false authority, pointing her cane at Victoria. "This is private property! Who do you think you are, bursting into a Sterling family gathering?!"
Victoria didn't answer immediately. She kept walking straight toward the center of the patio, her bodyguards flanking her tightly, her sharp gaze locked entirely on the ground ahead.
