Chapter 12 - The Secret WeaponAnna noticed a small microphone attached to the device.
"Leo," she whispered, "what did you record?"
The boy swallowed.
"Secrets."
Victoria suddenly lunged forward.
"Give me that!"
Richard stepped between them.
"Don't touch him."
Victoria stopped.
The device continued blinking.
Leo looked at his father.
"She said I should record when she talked."
Richard's blood ran cold.
"Why?"
"Because she didn't know."
Leo looked toward the crowd.
"She didn't know I could remember."
Anna slowly connected the device to the mansion's audio system.
