Chapter 5 - The Boy in the DarkA little boy was curled between the wooden beams.

He wore a miniature tuxedo, now stained with dust and grime.
His cheeks were hollow.
His lips were dry.
His tiny hands were wrapped around one of the beams as though it were the only thing keeping him alive.
"Anna..."
She froze.
How did he know her name?
The boy coughed.
"Please get me out."
Anna dropped the sledgehammer.
"I'm here," she whispered. "You're safe now."
The boy shook his head.
"No."
His eyes moved toward the crowd.
"Not yet."
Anna felt a chill.

"She told me nobody would ever find me."
