He reached into the opening with his bare hands.

Nails tore his fingers.

Wood splintered beneath his palms.

He didn't care.

"Hold on, Leo!"

The boy cried out as Richard pulled away pieces of plaster and timber.

Anna helped guide the child through the opening.

Finally, Leo fell into his father's arms.

Richard held him against his chest.

The billionaire who had once faced hostile takeovers without blinking was now crying uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

Leo buried his face against him.

"I thought you forgot me."

Richard closed his eyes.

"Never."

Behind them, Victoria stood motionless.

Because she knew something Richard didn't.
