Chapter 13 - The Four Words Inside His Late Father’s Letter

Nathan pulled the sealed manila envelope from his pocket, sliding out the final handwritten note penned by his late father.

He unfolded the aged parchment paper, reading the brief, shocking message scrawled in hurried, frantic ink at the very bottom.

Grace watched his expression change from hardened determination to profound, heartbreaking realization as he read the words.

“What does it say?” Grace asked gently, reaching out to touch his sleeve with a comforting, warm hand.

Nathan looked down at her, his eyes shining with unshed tears as he whispered the four words his father wrote before dying:

“Protect our true blood.” “He knew,” Nathan choked out, his voice cracking with sudden emotional release.
