Chapter 23 - NOAH GROWS UP

Years passed quietly.

Noah was no longer the frightened boy carrying an inhaler everywhere.

He had grown into a confident young man.

His asthma was controlled, his grades were excellent, and he had developed a passion for medicine.

One evening, he came home with an acceptance letter.

Emma opened it.

Her eyes widened.

“You got in!”

Noah smiled.

“Medical school.”

Emma hugged him tightly.

Lorenzo joined them.

“I knew you could do it.”

Noah smiled.

“I want to help people who can't afford treatment.”

Lorenzo nodded proudly.

“Then you'll be better than I ever was.”

Noah frowned.

“That's not difficult.”

Everyone laughed.

Elena watched from her chair, tears shining in her eyes.

Emma sat beside her.

“You're proud.”

“More than you know.”

Later that night, Emma stood outside with Lorenzo.

“He's becoming a good man.”

“He learned from you.”

She shook her head.

“He learned from all of us.”

Lorenzo wrapped an arm around her.

For years, he had believed his greatest responsibility was building an empire.

Now he understood something more important.

His greatest achievement wasn't power.

It was giving Noah the chance to become exactly who he wanted to be.
