Chapter 58 - THE MESSAGE FROM BOSTON

Two months after the wedding, Noah called Emma from Boston.
“I have something to tell you.”
Emma smiled.
“Another surprise?”
“Yes.”
She waited.
“We're having a baby.”
Emma screamed.
Lorenzo dropped a book across the room.
“What happened?”
“I'm going to be an aunt.”
Lorenzo stared at her.
“You're already an aunt.”
“A first-time aunt to Noah's baby.”
Noah laughed through the phone.
“Mom would have been so happy.”
Emma's eyes filled with tears.
“Yes.”
There was a pause.
Then Noah said,
“I want the baby to know about her.”
Emma smiled.
“They will.”
“How?”
“We'll tell them everything.”
The brave woman who changed someone's life.
The mother who learned to forgive.
The family that almost broke.
The family that survived.
The grandmother they would never meet.
Noah became quiet.
“Thank you.”
Emma looked at Lorenzo.
“For what?”
“For keeping the story alive.”
Emma smiled.
May you like
“That story belongs to all of us.”
